15 Things You Should Know Before Becoming An Anti-Vaxxer

I was checking in this morning on Change.org, and little Miss Coward from the previous entry had published the following link;

http://www.dinnerforthought.com/blog/15-things-you-should-know-before-becoming-an-anti-vaxxer

I’ll give this a better review than this fool “Matt” has. He’s proud to be an anti vaxxer, and he shouldn’t be because anti vaxxers are inciters of child neglect.

1. Once you go down this road, you won’t go back.

The assumption is made that once you see “everything” you won’t be convinced to vaccinate. The problem with this is that is based on the assumption that everything you read is true and then you have to decide which is actually true and which isn’t. There are two clear lines there – one from a bunch of cranks and the other from experienced people. You always go with the latter. If you can’t tell the difference, you’re in trouble. Also, Matt claims that there have been no legitimate safety studies. I can only speak for Australia, but I can say that here they have been done. They have to be because it is the law.

2. You’ll be forced to ponder certain possibilities you didn’t consider before

Actually, if you are a member of the sensible thinking crew you will know junk when you see it. The increase in neurological disorders comes from better diagnostics and other sources, not vaccines – and full research will reveal this. No apparent reason? Wrong. The other fact that is being ignored is the percentages. If there really was an issue with vaccines, the percentage of these conditions would be a hundred times higher than they actually are – and even that is a generous educated guess on my part.

3. Sometimes conspiracy theories are actually true.

Right this pisses me off because I am Autistic and my condition (not disease you bastard!) was not caused by vaccines. Again, the numbers do not justify causation because the percentage would be a lot higher than it is. There is no compelling evidence that hasn’t be bunked by the people who know – and I count myself in those numbers because I am living with Autism. I have the condition, and it is genetic in origin and I also believe I know the connection – human behaviours. Yes, outside of that there are some conspiracy theories that might be true – such as who killed JFK for example. But most of them are panic stricken junk with no basis in common sense reality.

4. You’ll become a hardened person.

This is actually a bad thing because hardened anti vaxxers are the worst of bullies and inciters. Vaccines do not make a profit. They are created at cost and are subsidised by governments to make sure they are either free or at least cost a minimal amount (in Australia for example if you don’t qualify for the free flu shot it costs just $10). All of the monster sized profits made by the pharmaceutical companies are from pills – pain killers and the drugs that pill popping real quack doctors dole out on top of the legitimate treatments from good doctors. And I haven’t even mentioned the line of pills prescribed by psychiatrists, which also has a group of good ones and quacks.

5. You’ll need to develop an acute sense of civility.

Speaking for myself, a civil anti vaxxer is the one that poses the most danger – the inciter by stealth and harder to punish as they should be. But they never like being accused of a crime, and incitement to child neglect usually gets to the mothers who don’t vaccinate in particular. That might sound cruel, but as long as it’s true (and it is) your conscience is clean. As the old saying goes, you have to be cruel to be kind. Textbooks are not sponsored by “Big Pharma”. They are produced by experts in the field of chemistry in particular and carry the experience in the laboratory that is needed. They deserve to be listened to and there is no money involved to swing the scientific argument. You can’t lie in science – it kills and in large numbers (as it did in Germany back in the 50’s and there was a quick reversal on that one). Mistakes are quickly corrected. We aren’t perfect. Anti vaxxers think that they are because they think the know everything.

6. You’re not really “Anti-Science”.

Yes you are. Pseudo science is not real science – it never has been and it never will be. The claim that everyone’s body is the exactly the same is bunk. I for one never make that claim. But the point being missed here is that this is the point where the doctor’s judgment (or whoever is administrating the vaccine) becomes absolutely crucial. And it is here where the mistakes are made if there are any. Is that the vaccines fault? NO! A poor worker blames their tools as they say. The CDC schedule is NOT mandated by the CDC. Some states in the US have mandated it, and that’s wrong because the decision has to be left to the administrators of the vaccine, but the CDC does NOT push it as is. The FBI fugitive claim is unproven, and I’ve never said that vaccines are totally safe. They are safe, but as far as any medical procedure is safe. Everything on this planet has a risk in it. That’s life. You risk your life crossing the street, riding a bicycle, flying in an aircraft etc etc. The comparison doesn’t work. Vaccines have already been proven to be beneficial – you only have to look at the drop in prevalence in preventable disease to know that it’s true.

7. You’ll be exposed to one of the biggest hoaxes in human history.

Herd immunity is not a hoax. Again, the drop in prevalence numbers prove that. Not everyone can be vaccinated, so they need to be protected in other ways, and herd immunity has done that. The required percentages can be reached, and the key there is the removal of exemptions over conscientious or religious objections. The latter used to be the biggest problem, and now it’s the former. No respected scripture that I am aware of opposes vaccines. Smallpox was not eliminated by better sanitation – it would have disappeared sooner if that was the case. The same applies to polio, which was still being dealt with when I was a boy. Believe me, sanitation was great then. There was no claim that Pertussis was eliminated, but the claim that it was caused by the vaccinated is rubbish. There is no such thing as vaccine shedding.

8. You’ll start to despise the mainstream media.

This is a bad thing, because the mainstream media is an important information valve. The media are subject to defamation laws (slander, libel etc) and they have to walk a fine line between truth and lies. But with vaccines, the truth is clear and the lies are obvious. The lies don’t get out – and that means this anti vaccine junk doesn’t get out. The media are savvy enough to know the difference. In Australia, one local news service in the New South Wales regional city of Wollongong was raked over the coals for giving an anti vaxxer a voice. They got into trouble for it as a media law violation for accurate reporting and it was proven as well. William Thompson is not a whistleblower and this has been proven as well – to the point that he was talking about suing Brian Hooker for libel. CNN removed the story for the same reason I have already explained – the media needs to tell the truth, and CNN found out that it was a lie. The claim that the media is owned by the medical industry is junk.

9. You’ll lose your fear of previously common childhood illnesses.

And that again is a bad thing, especially with the flu and believe me I can talk about that first hand! I got the flu in July 2014 (Swine Flu to be exact) and it nearly bloody killed me! I was in hospital for 25 days, 9 of them sedated. And the flu mutates and changes as well. The flu vaccine works and I get it every year now. So should everyone else, adult and child. The other diseases CAN kill as well. Complications in a diseased body are a constant threat that is much higher than any perceived threat a vaccine poses. The death rate for the measles prior to vaccines was NOT 0.0002 percent. It was a lot higher than that. Suffering the disease does not confer immunity. That’s an old wives tale. The so called pox parties are dangerous and the most obvious case of child neglect on record in this realm.

10. You’ll read the ingredients on a vaccine insert.

This one irks me because this goes to the very core of the lacking in understanding of chemistry and science. The concept of compounds. Compounds take away the toxic nature of the ingredients. Vaccines are man made compound. My argument back at these fools is to ask if they eat salt or drink fresh untreated water. They are both compounds (natural instead of man made is the only difference) that contain toxic ingredients. Sodium by itself is poison. Chlorine by itself is definitely poison. Hydrogen in liquid form is poison and in it’s natural form is explosive. And yet Sodium Chloride is safe. Dihydrogen Oxide is even safer. That’s who science works, and it’s why the “you don’t understand science” argument works. Thiomersal suffered a panic based in the assumption that it contained pure mercury, when it doesn’t and never did. Aluminium is present in soft drink (soda in the US) in the form of the cans that they are contained in. It’s no miracle that infants survive the aluminium in the vaccines at birth. It shows that the science has it right. Going the science route properly reveals that the inserts are in fact misleading.

11. You’ll finally understand why the SIDS rate is higher than ever before.

There is no proof of any cause in SIDS. None. Zero. Nada. Zilch. There is only speculation and that is not science. Never has been and never will be. Making science decisions based purely in assumption is a recipe for disaster.

12. You’ll start to realize there’s a big problem with western medicine.

The only problem with western medicine is in the United States and it’s stupid 99 percent user pays system and it’s expansion of the definition of “doctor”. And the Vaccine Court. Medicines that supposedly fix an issue don’t. I know that. The mask is useful because it relieves the symptoms in order to allow the body’s immune system to fight off the root problem. That’s how it works. Don’t assume that there are instant cures on the medical market. Also don’t assume that a strong body is a defence against defence. I made that mistake in July 2014 thinking that I had a strong body. But I subsequently found out that the flu thrives on that and it’s why I nearly died. It targets and kills the fit and healthy. Natural healthcare is fraught with risks far higher than western medicine, especially if your body isn’t attuned to it. Some treatments have a good record for relief, but again it does nothing to the root problem. This assumption is based in a lack of logical understanding of medicine in general.

13. Vaccination is not a synonym for immunization.

Vaccination does equal immunisation – when you do the whole thing and I don’t just mean the vaccines. If you don’t look after yourself otherwise, you’ll compromise your immune system and there isn’t a vaccine to overcome that. But is that the vaccine’s fault? NO! Efficacy is not 100 percent the vaccine. Vaccines help a great deal, but you also have to look after yourself. It’s a tool for living free of disease, but it’s one tool.

14. There are countless vaccine injuries. That fact is unavoidable.

If you count simple little things like a sore arm, yeah. But if you look at it properly, 99.9 percent of claimed vaccine injuries are not caused by the vaccine itself. There are other issues as well. It goes back to the bad worker blaming their tools again. If the US Vaccine Court was closed and these claims were looked at properly with 100 percent proof instead of the 50 percent and a feather BS, the real truth would be revealed and many doctors and other administrators of vaccines would find themselves victims of malpractice lawsuits. All the online stories about vaccine injury are unproven anecdotes with no proven scientific backing. The CDC whistleblower hashtag stat is probably right, but that only shows the breadth of the issue with idiots believing lies. It’s a threat to children’s lives, and THAT fact is unavoidable. Not a single vaccines has been directly and reliably linked to Autism.

15. You’ll think critically of everything you read on vaccines.

And that’s a bad thing if you aren’t educated or logical. This leads to bad decisions that threatens your own children. That goes to the very core of child abuse – not protecting your children from preventable disease and making their lives miserable even if they survive the bout of whatever.

Conclusion:
“Matt” is a lying con artist who believes this junk and won’t be swayed. He lacks the empirical knowledge to truly understand and he also lacks the logic to come to the correct conclusions. He just listens to the liars. If you listen to a liar, you choose a road that only leads to misery. Looking things up on the Internet is a mistake. There is a mountain of misinformation from people who claim to be experts. Eventually they will be torn down as the liars they are, certainly if I have anything to do with it. Anti vaxxers are as big a threat to lives as terrorists. They incite child neglect. It’s a human rights abuse, and that is the final fact.

Erika Eckelbarger: English Scholar – Science Bum

While celebrating a big victory when Tribeca films removed an Andrew Wakefield picture from their Festival line up in New York next month, the anti vaxxers were in full voice on the Change.org petition that helped convince Robert De Niro to cancel the film.

There’s one anti vaxxer I want to focus on – Erika Eckelbarger. A classic case of the Dunning Kruger Effect thinking that having huge qualifications in the English language entitles her to understand science purely through the written word. Especially when she reads the material with her heart instead of her head thinking that she has a couple of vaccine damaged kids and won’t prove it!

A bit of background first. Eckelbarger lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana – the home town of Frank Burns from M*A*S*H (make of that what you will!). She’s a Documentation Specialist at Lincoln Financial Group and has a B.A (Bachelor of Arts) in English Literature/Interpersonal Relations from Ball State University in Muncie (also in Indiana). There was nothing to confirm her claim of any science experience of any sort. Surprise, surprise.

One of my friends called her out after I alerted a bunch on Facebook and she said;

You have demonstrated throughout this that yes you have a good understanding of English – but you don’t understand chemistry and any related science. Being able to read and comprehend the words does NOT confer you with scientific expertise. Ever done anything in a lab? Thought not. You are doing it wrong and as a result your children are in danger from preventable disease. That is a much bigger risk than any risk in vaccines you claim. Your failure to properly balance all the risk factors properly makes a mockery of your claims to be a “scholar” beyond just the English language. Face facts – as this film has been cancelled – vaccines are as safe as any other medical procedure, and to refuse to use the procedure to protect your children is child abuse.

Here is what Eckelbarger said in reply – and she also blocked my friend to prevent a response;

Actually you know nothing about me. I was actually hand picked in high school to participate in a fully funded summer science program (at the time, I was looking to become a neurosurgeon). I instead chose English because I enjoyed the discussions surrounding the major. I enjoyed the people within my degree field at my college… which I attended fully funded, as a result of a very selective scholarship.

The thing about you scientists is that you think you are the only ones who can read and interpret. You think your time is a lab gives you the key to everything in the entire world. I disagree. There are MANY things science cannot answer and even more where it has been completely and utterly wrong. The one thing that hasnt? The creator. I don’t believe that my creator failed to give us the innate tools that we need to survive in this world. I’ve never said there isn’t a place for modern medicine, so watch what accusations you throw around behind your big bad keyboard. My children do have a naturopath and before that, two Peds. So, there is a place for medicine… it just isn’t always THE ONLY PLACE. Keep your child abuse comments to yourself. I can assure you, that is a place you DO NOT want to go with me.

The film was pulled because of pharma scum like yourself, whining because you are scared that when the masses start to learn about the scam you all have been running, it will all blow up in your faces. This may be a tiny set back, but no worries… the truth will all come out in due time. It always does.

This is a stupid reply, and the core of it is the claim that there are many things that science can not answer. In science, the answer is ALWAYS there. You just have to find it. The stupid woman is trying to apply language rules to science, which is a massive fail of monumental proportions! A naturopath is not a doctor and we all know that. The film was pulled because Robert De Niro realised that Wakefield was a liar and a con artist.

I went in and told her to unblock my friend because she had copied that above post not logged in (as explained in our group on Facebook) and gave it to her thus;

I grabbed this not logged in because this witch blocked me because I told the truth and she couldn’t take it. The only scam is anti vaccine and those who actually understand science and do all the studies and understand their meaning (as I do) know that anti vaxxers are wrong and dangerous. As far as the child abuse comment goes – I will go there because it’s true.

The truth does set a person free – unless they don’t want to hear the truth. And anti vaxxers don’t want to hear the truth.

My post to Eckelbarger went like this in part;

Or are you scared to debate an actual scientist? (If you block me after responding I will know that I am right).

And lo and behold, she blocked me! And said this (which I saw not logged in)

Not afraid of anything. This conversation isn’t going anywhere and I don’t want to waste my time on it any longer. You guys can continue to post what you want and try to discredit me. However <snip> made a very serious accusation and I WILL NOT TOLERATE IT. End of discussion.

Another friend came in at this point with this call out;

You’ll tolerate it because the accusation was spot on. The conversation is going in a direction you don’t like and that’s just too bad for you, because you ended up discrediting yourself by running. No doubt you’ll block me now after replying to prevent me from seeing what you say, because as Phil said you are scared. Don’t say you aren’t because you would be a barefaced liar.

Absolutely right! And all Eckelbarger could say was this – and applied another block as well;

Ahhh, spoken like a true pro-vaxxer… always trying to tell someone else what they will and will not do. <eyeroll>

I love that you guys are still commenting on this feed and that it took, like idk 5 of you to do it… validates the truth behind what I say even more.

This woman is a nutcase! Fruitcake standard! Talk about fingers in the ears – or rather blinkers on the eyes. There are none so blind as those who will not see as they say. Five? There were only three at that point, and along came number four;

You are a dangerous idiot. Your children are not vaccine damaged. They are sick from something else that you refuse to reveal. You are a liar, a fraud and a shill for pill popping doctors who want patients to need pills to treat the diseases that vaccines prevent. Everyone can see that you are being owned here and you can’t hide that no matter how many people you block. It’s here for everyone else to see. Your name has been smashed, and it’s your own fault for being a mother who can’t look after her own children because she doesn’t understand what actually caused their issues. If you don’t like that – tough!

And all Eckelbarger would do is laugh – like a mad scientist. She doesn’t care about her kids. That is as plain as day. Anyone who defaults to vaccine damage is lazy and hasn’t done their homework properly, preferring Google University over those who actually know. Google U is useless and teaches nothing but conspiracy BS that emotional cripples like this woman eat up with their heart instead of their head. It makes a mockery of her scholar claims. Being able to read doesn’t give a person the automatic ability to understand NaCl, CO, FeS and so on (and I would have added others except I can’t do subscript in Notepad where I wrote this), and more importantly how they work.

This is a classic case of the Dunning Kruger Effect. She thinks she knows it all, but she doesn’t. Anyone who believes in conspiracy theories knows very little because their logic functions are low and she is proof that the term “common sense” is an oxymoron.
